White top and jeans

Hello friends, how are you? This morning I had an “outfit dilemma.”

I was originally wearing a white fitted dress, but I wasn’t feeling myself today. Then, in search of an outfit that I could dissolve into for the day, I remembered that I had few old white tops that just might do the trick. I know not very many women like to wear, or feel good, in a straight-cut men’s white button-down shirt, but I’ve become a huge fan of this classic button-down look. It’s a versatile, classic, and chic look; just try matching it with a black pencil skirt for work, shorts, trousers, skirts, jeans or even under a blazer.

This time I wore the white JCrew top that I added to my wardrobe a few years ago, and partnered it with an old pair of Levi’s jeans and my snake print shoes. Then, I accessorized it with my Movado watch, red Gucci supermini Marmont bag, and this super cute necklace and gorgeous earrings from 2chicaccessories.

This was the perfect outfit for meeting up with an old friend that I hadn’t hung out with in some time. It was really nice catching up with her. She’s one of those friends who are like stars — you don’t always see them, but you know they are always there. Do you have that kind of friend/friends?
